Granada is located in the most mountainous region of Spain and boasts the highest road in Europe.  This road going over the top of Sierra Nevada is a majestic climb about twenty miles in length with an average grade around 8%.  There are several lower routes that merge toward the top of the mountain, which is often snowcapped. This is only one of the many climbs we will ride during your week stay.  (see photos)

Granada was the last Moorish occupation in Spain.  The Alhambra (see photos) which was the last fortress given up to Ferdinand and Isabella is an architectural masterpiece. The network of aqueducts laid by the Moors which still run through the city, and through out the mountainous region is truly amazing.  The trip will include some site seeing expeditions.
